If you are interested in renting after the viewing, send us the following documents as quickly as possible (preferably in PDF format) by email:

  • Attached PDF application form (completed and signed)
  • Attached PDF SEPA direct debit mandate (completely filled out and signed) ATTENTION – we only accept German bank details.
  • The last 3 proofs of income/salary from all contracting parties (e.g. spouse, partner). Or employment contract for new hires (or proof of pension, other proof of income such as child benefit, maintenance, etc.).

Please do not forget to date and sign the attached forms, otherwise we will have to request them from you again, which will delay the application process.

Without complete submission of the documents, consideration/rental is not possible.

No, we don’t maintain waiting/reservation lists. Instead, we ask that you apply for a specific rental unit.

Once you have been accepted as a flat tenant, we mail you two hard copies of the lease agreement. You need to sign both and return them to us. Once we have signed the contract, you will receive one copy for your records.

Yes, your confirmation letter from the landlord (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung) is included with the lease agreement. You will need this to register at the local citizens’ office (Bürgerbüro). Please note that it is no longer necessary to also complete the relevant town or municipality form.

In addition to the letter of confirmation from the landlord required under Section 19 of the German Federal Act on Registration, some tenants will need to present proof of residence (Wohnraumnachweis) to the foreign nationals’ office (Ausländeramt). We email or mail this to you on request.

You will receive the keys at the beginning of the rental period. Please schedule an appointment with us well in advance. At the handover appointment, we document the flat’s condition and hand you the keys. Once the keys are in your possession, we do not have access to your flat. Handover appointments are usually held during our business hours, which are Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm.

On signing the lease agreement, you will need to pay a deposit equal to three months’ rent.

Our flats are rented out unfurnished and without a fully equipped kitchen.

You don’t need our approval for reasonable numbers of small animals, such as rabbits, hamsters or birds. In contrast, you must request permission to keep cats, dogs or exotic pets. If you wish to have a dog, you must prove that you have dog liability insurance.

For safety reasons, you are only permitted to use gas or electric barbecues on balconies, loggias and decks. When doing so, please be considerate of your neighbours.
